Gifts

Artists’ Gifts

Curated by Giovanni Gardini and Francesca Passerini, the exhibition presents a selection of works donated to the Lercaro Collection between 2023 and 2024, offering a partial yet representative overview of the contributing artists.

The gifts — offered by the artists, their heirs, or collectors — received by the Lercaro Collection over the past two years form a broad and varied ensemble of expressive intentions. These range across different periods and encompass both renowned figures and emerging talents, exploring a variety of media including painting, sculpture, graphic art, and photography. Tullio Vietri is featured with two paintings generously donated by his daughter Silvia, following a previous donation made by the artist himself in the mid-1980s. This creates an ideal bridge that renews a connection and opens the Tullio Vietri Atelier to dialogue, in a place of open exchange, art, and culture.

The opening event celebrated the conclusion of a year rich in meaningful and well-received activities with a festive atmosphere. “Artists’ Gifts” transformed into “Christmas Gifts,” accompanied by music and choral performances by the In Suono APS Artistic Center. The event also featured the presentation of the catalog “Observatory on Art 2024”, summarizing the seven exhibitions held in the project room, and concluded with a toast and the exchange of holiday greetings among the many attendees.
